Pricing insights from Tranmere Rovers

I’m about to do something exceptionally brave or exceptionally stupid.

A few times a season I attend a Tranmere Rovers football match. As it happens I am going this Saturday to see us play the arch enemy, Wrexham.

When I get to Tranmere there are two turnstyles I can go through. I can go through the adult turnstyle, which costs £17. Or I can go through the ‘young person’ turnstyle, which costs £10. Apparently going through the ‘young person’ turnstyle is acceptable because I look under 40 and the guys on the gate don’t care.

However much you pay to get in the end product is the same; 90 minutes of misery.

I know this doesn’t follow the standard ‘product launch formula’ (you know, where I’m supposed to tell you my server crashed and stuff), and I doubt it will be available forever.
