Pricing insights from Tranmere Rovers

I’m about to do something exceptionally brave or exceptionally stupid.

A few times a season I attend a Tranmere Rovers football match. As it happens I am going this Saturday to see us play the arch enemy, Wrexham.

When I get to Tranmere there are two turnstyles I can go through. I can go through the adult turnstyle, which costs £17. Or I can go through the ‘young person’ turnstyle, which costs £10. Apparently going through the ‘young person’ turnstyle is acceptable because I look under 40 and the guys on the gate don’t care.

However much you pay to get in the end product is the same; 90 minutes of misery.

You’ve probably received emails from me about a copywriting course I’m launching, called Nurture Email Mastery. The course is the result of a recent coaching programme I ran where a handful of students put up with me for seven weeks while they learnt to write story-based nurture emails.

We emerged from the course with a clear six-step production process.

The process isn’t ‘plug’n’play’. It isn’t ‘turnkey’. It does require application and hard work. But ultimately if you put in the effort it does work.

I’ve taken a bit of a dart board approach to pricing the course. In my head I think the course is worth a good £500, or possibly up to you $1000. But I’m biased and generally in love with my work.

How much is the course worth to you? Well, I don’t know to be honest.

SO, I’m doing an experiment.

You choose the price.

The product is exactly the same at each price point. You get the same course access. You get the same support. You get the same guarantee.

The guarantee, by the way, is that if you put in the time and effort (which I can monitor), I guarantee you’ll emerge from the course with the skills and ability to write compelling story-based emails.

Price options start at £39 (about $55 USD), going up to £490 ($700 USD).

I know this doesn’t follow the standard ‘product launch formula’ (you know, where I’m supposed to tell you my server crashed and stuff), and I doubt it will be available forever.

The only criteria for joining the course is that you watch last Friday’s webinar recording of ‘Six Steps To Effective Story-Based Nurture Emails’.

Watch the webinar and read the course info

Be warned: this is a course where you have to work, every day. If words like work, learn and study make you feel weak at the knees this probably isn’t for you.
